Participation Strategy

Supporting implementation of the National Strategy on Children and Young People’s Participation in Decision-Making (2015-2020)

• Hub na nÓg supports the DCEDIY in driving more effective delivery of the Participation Strategy and other Government strategies relevant to the voice of children and young people.
• Hub na nÓg develops and conducts tailored, right-based child participation training, development and coaching to support organisations to more effectively listen to children and implement Participation Strategy commitments.
• Hub na nÓg collaborates with the DCEDIY in developing and conducting consultations with children and young people on a wide range of issues.
• Hub na nÓg (on behalf of the DCEDIY) led the development of a National Implementation Framework for Children and Young People’s Participation in Decision-Making, as a co-production with Professor Laura  Lundy from Queen’s University, Belfast.
