Introduction
This Report forms part of the Commissions Third Programme of Law Reform 2008-20141 and follows the publication in 2009 of a Consultation Paper on Children and the Law: Medical Treatment. The Consultation Paper made provisional recommendations for reform of the law concerning consent to, and refusal of, medical treatment involving persons under the age of 18.
