Introduction

The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) is currently developing a new framework for children and young people which will place children and young people at the centre of policy. As different groups of children and young people may face specific difficulties, DCEIDY felt it was important to seek the views of groups of children and young people who may not have been included in recent Government consultations on this topic. These groups include children and young people from minority ethnic backgrounds, young carers, and homeless young people. This report presents the findings of the consultations with young people from minority ethnic backgrounds.
